Basic Plot: When two ill-prepared American tourists arrive in Puerto Rico unaware that the island uses the metric system, their vacation quickly erupts with misunderstandings and confusion, all humorous of course. Filled with hilarious endearing terms and stereotypical tourist behavior, this little skit has big Texas style.

Genre: Comedy

Total Characters 4 or 6 : 1 Male, 1 Female, 4 Either (the 2 optional characters either both need filled or left out. They interact with each other for the whole skit)

Setting/Era: modern day

Length of Skit: 6-12 minutes

Hints:

★ What will make this skit funny is if the actors can be comfortable with not saying their lines too fast, and letting there be silence as funny things are happening with what the actors are doing with their bodies. The dynamic between Tex and Peggy Sue should be equal in power, lots of sappy love that quickly turns into diva-like behaviors.

This skit is sold separately and is also sold as part of the MAD Society Variety Show Bundle and the Year Long Mega Bungle titled and themed “Caribbean Sun.” It was also created to reuse some of the costumes for the Spring Play in the Year Long Mega Bundle which is titled “Sherlock’s Caribbean Cruise.” For this skit in particular, tropical vacation clothes can be used for the Warbucks Family characters in Sherlock’s Caribbean Cruise.
